How is the Univerisity?
The university is located in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province, a famous oil industry city in China. The city is known as the capital of green oil and chemical industry, the city of natural lakes, and the hometown of hot springs in the north.
The university currently has two campuses, the main campus and the Fangxiao campus, covering an area of 618,800 square meters and a building area of 257,600 square meters. The library has a collection of 1.3405 million books and 774,800 electronic books. The total value of fixed assets is 617 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 105 million yuan. The school recruits students from 22 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, and currently has 12,444 full-time undergraduate students. Since 2009, it has jointly trained master’s students with Northeast Normal University and Northeast Petroleum University.
The university has 14 colleges and 45 undergraduate majors, covering 8 major disciplines including literature, science, education, engineering, law, management, art, and economics. Ten majors, including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese International Education, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Primary Education, Electronic Information Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Law, Marketing, and Painting, are selected as first-class undergraduate majors in Heilongjiang Province; two majors, including English and Preschool Education, are selected as national first-class undergraduate majors; and Preschool Education is a provincial key discipline.
